a night out

So this Friday I was going to hang out with  the girl that i like, so i thought to myself, "Whats the easiest way to get this girl to hold onto me?" The first thing that came to my mind was to go see a scary movie, so that's exactly what I did. I had seen previews for Daniel Stamm's The Last Exorcism and the movie seemed like a good old-fashioned demon scare like Miller and Friedkin's The Exorcist or Roman Polanski's Rosemary's Baby. The Last Exorcism  combined the concepts of these movies and the result is a very interesting mock-umentary about exorcisms. So i chose this movie to be the scare-inducing movie we would see. The story itself is very original in the fact that the actual exorcist is a fake, he exorcises people to get them to take charge of their own lives and doesn't believe that he is actually doing anything to benefit the possessed person aside from freeing them from their supposed ailment (for a full synopsis go to http://www.moviefone.com/movie/the-last-exorcism/10034109/synopsis). As I sat there, girl stationed solidly on my arm, I noticed that the movie really does lack any real "scary" moments, only relying on depictions of visceral wounds to turn the stomachs of viewers. The ending also takes a very strange turn, just be warned. So if you are a fan of gory demon movies, this should definitely be on your list.

  1. What I want to know is if the girl was actually scared? I know I would be, the commercial itself freaks me out. I also want to know how the date went, and if you got a goodnight kiss, lol.

  2. I have yet to see this movie based on the reactions i've gotten from friends (which are similar to yours). I'm down for some gory crap like the Saw movies but the first exorcism movie scared the hell outta me, so I don't wanna see this and end up being disappointed.

  3. But at the end of the day mission accomplished right? I sometimes think girls act more scared than they are just as an excuse to give you a squeeze.
