Hey there everyone, my name is Jorge and I am a self-proclaimed cinephile. As such this blog will consist mostly of movie reviews, movie viewing stories, favorite directors, clips and all that good stuff. This picture is of me and some friends on my high schools "men in black" day and i am on the very left, looking very confused. At the very bottom of this page there are a few links, the second one from the left has a must-see discussion of dogs from the movie "snatch", directed by Guy Ritchie.

Everybody was kung fu fighting
"Sweep the leg", one of the most famous lines in martial arts movies, do you know what movie that's from? I love the occasional kung fu movie, from Stephen Chow to Bruce Lee, even to Chuck Norris. There is a certain allure of people dueling it out for honor, redemption and the like. Watching a good kung fu movie just brings to light your inability to defend yourself whatsoever.

although i do not know what movie this is from, it reminds me of beverly hills ninja with Chris Farley. the song everybody was kung fu fighting was featured in it and that made me laugh.
ReplyDeleteI think. I love kung fu movies too. Especially with Jackie Chan and Jet Li.
ReplyDeleteJet li is my boy. Him and jackie chan are dead even on my top martial arts stars. The karate kid ofcouse.
ReplyDeleteSweep the leg!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is actually from Napoleon Dynamite, "Break the wrist, walk away."
I've never really watched any kung fu movies. The only kung fu thing that I know of is the song "everybody was kung fu fighting".
ReplyDeleteI had never really watched a "Kung Fu" movie until i met my friend Cam, he loves movie like that. which of course led to a kung fu contest. Somethings in life are just to interesting to turn down!! haha
ReplyDeleteI like the Rush Hour movies. They are funny than the other movies you mentioned but I personally hate hearing about Chuck Norris. He is the longest lasting joke ever. He apparently relates to everything. Chuck Norris is god supposedly.
ReplyDeleteI'm not really in to kung fu movies, except for the ones with Jackie Chan in them.
ReplyDeleteno offense, but i watched a kung fu movie once and hated it. it was so cheesy and i couldn't even understand what they were saying. all my friends kept laughing and i had no idea what was going on.
