Hey there everyone, my name is Jorge and I am a self-proclaimed cinephile. As such this blog will consist mostly of movie reviews, movie viewing stories, favorite directors, clips and all that good stuff. Visceral!
So have you ever seen a movie that has blood and guts spilling out the side of it? I have no problem with a good Quentin Tarentino style movie, but so long as it doesn't forsake the story and characters. Some movies don't do a very good job balancing these two i.e. shoot 'em up. Other movies do an incredible job of doing this, like Kill Bill Vol.1. So if your looking for a great violent action movie with some humor thrown in there, definitely look up and Quentin Tarentino film.
Feeling musical?
I have a very interesting relationship with musicals, I enjoy the classic musicals like The wizard of Oz, West Side Story and Grease, but I am not really into more of the new musicals like Chicago and Moulin Rougue. The older musicals have more of a happy-go-lucky sense to them that we need more in these "troubled Times" (to sound even more dramatic, haha). That is just my opinion however, so I have no idea if you all feel the same way.
